Kansai Spring 2011: Day 3

ゑんどう寿司 (Endo Sushi) - A hidden gem inside the Osaka Central Market and highly raved on the Internet. Even if it was out of the way and we took almost half an hour to locate the market, the trip was well worth it!

We arrived a little before noon to savour the fresh fish before the lunch crowd flowed in afterwards.

They're well-known for their お任せ (omakase), chef's selection of 5 pieces sushi at ¥1,000, and the sushi served differs for subsequent orders. Both of us had 3 sets each... REAL fresh and good~~~ My favourite has got to be the 海栗 (sea urchin); no fishy smell or taste unlike those offered in Singapore restaurants.

Miso soup like you've never tasted before: Packs a punch with mini clams inside!

Guess what's the next destination?

海遊館 (Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan)! Not on our original itinerary but I'm glad we went :)

You can receive Japanese guides via a Nintendo DS at various hotspots around the aquarium. So regretted not bringing mine out...

Capybara: I'm the real deal alright!

We didn't know there was a MANDARAKE in Osaka and boy were we happy to see one there! A must visit for all manga/anime fans, you might find rare collector's items here!

A brief stroll through アメリカ村 before packing some dinner back to the hotel...
More walking tomorrow!
