Kansai Spring 2011: Day 0
It's been a hell of a ride even before we reach Japan.
The earthquake and tsunami first struck two weeks ago and jeopardized our plans. Soon we had to forgo Tokyo altogether as the BF and family were uneasy about the nuclear crisis, even though I was still bent on going :(
Tokyo is definitely NOT a ghost town right now!
You see, I'm an avid lover of Japan and always will be! It's heartwrenching to see them going through so much turmoil.. The least I could do is to donate to JRC and contribute to their tourism industry.
The final plan was to visit Osaka / Kyoto. Air tickets rebooked, accomodation settled and itinerary replanned during our final week of preparation. Everything seemed too smooth.
I brought my SONY laptop plus Lenovo netbook adaptor out. The Cathay Pacific flight was re-timed from 20:05 to one hour later that would make us miss the connecting flight at Hong Kong. The staff (kindly) switched us to Singapore Airlines that would depart only at 01:20.
So happening + Amazing Race right.
SO RIGHT NOW we've just gone to my home to pick up the correct netbook and then back at Terminal 3. I'm exhausted.. Gonna pop a flu tablet on the plane later.
Hope to update tomorrow too! :)
